PROTECTED AREAS: CULTURAL HERITAGE SURVEY GUIDELINES
PUBLIC COMMENT MacRobert wishes to draw your attention to the following important notice 03 February 2017
The Minister of Environmental Affairs has, in terms of the NEM:PAA, published the Cultural Heritage Survey Guidelines and Assessment Tools for Protected Areas in South Africa for public consultation, as set out in the schedule to this notice. The objective of the survey guidelines and inventory tools is to enable protected areas, through their management authorities, to work within the ambit of the current heritage management systems in accordance with the national norms and standards of the NHRA in the quest to improve and sustain the management of cultural heritage resources within protected areas. Members of the public are invited to submit written comments within 30 days of the publication of this notice (i.e. on or before 06 March 2017).
